Sugar Land Psychological Associates offers Direct Psychological Care (DPC), a membership-based option for clients who prefer predictable self-pay pricing, enhanced access to their clinician, and a more comprehensive approach to psychological care.

$149/month

Members receive access to individual, couples, and group therapy at reduced member rates, enhanced scheduling, between-session support, psychological wellness services, and eligibility for a comprehensive psychological assessment.

Individual Therapy

Receive full 60-minute individual therapy sessions at a predictable member rate.

There is no required number of therapy sessions per month. You and your clinician determine the frequency of treatment based on your individual needs.

$85 per 60-minute session

Couples Therapy

Members receive one complimentary 30-minute Couples Check-In to discuss relationship concerns and explore whether ongoing couples therapy may be beneficial.

If you and your clinician determine that continued couples therapy is appropriate:

$100 per 60-minute session

Group Therapy

Members may attend one complimentary 90-minute group therapy session to experience an available group and determine whether continued participation may be beneficial.

Group services are subject to clinical appropriateness and the availability of applicable groups.

If you and your clinician mutually agree that continued participation is appropriate:

$60 per 90-minute session

Comprehensive Psychological Assessment Included

One of the most significant benefits of DPC is access to a comprehensive psychological assessment when clinically appropriate.

After four consecutive months of active membership, members become eligible for one of the following:

• ADHD Assessment
• Autism Assessment
• Diagnostic Clarification Assessment

These are comprehensive evaluations, not brief screenings. An assessment typically involves approximately three appointments and 6–7 hours of professional assessment services, which may include clinical interviewing, standardized psychological testing, scoring and interpretation, diagnostic formulation, feedback, and individualized treatment recommendations.

Members also receive a comprehensive integrated psychological report, typically approximately 15–20 pages.

With your written authorization, your report may be shared with your physician, psychiatrist, therapist, or other healthcare provider to assist with treatment planning and coordination of care.

Important Assessment Membership Requirement

DPC membership itself is month-to-month. However, because the included comprehensive assessment represents a substantial professional service benefit, members who elect to use the included assessment agree to a total 12-month DPC membership commitment.

Assessment eligibility begins after four consecutive months of active membership, and membership must remain active through completion of the evaluation.

Additional terms regarding early termination after utilizing the assessment benefit are provided in the DPC Membership Agreement.

The included assessment is for clinical diagnosis and treatment planning only and is not intended for forensic or legal evaluations, disability determinations, academic or workplace accommodations, employment decisions, licensing, fitness-for-duty evaluations, court proceedings, or other third-party administrative purposes.

Appointments may be available on an enhanced basis, subject to clinician availability.

Two 15-Minute Clinician Check-Ins Per Month
Brief phone check-ins for treatment updates, progress, questions, or non-urgent concerns.

Secure Between-Session Messaging
Communicate with your treating clinician about brief, non-urgent treatment matters during normal business hours Monday through Saturday.

Three Ways to Receive Care at SLPA

We recognize that one payment model will not work for everyone. That’s why SLPA offers three ways to receive psychological services.

Direct Psychological Care

Designed for clients who value enhanced access, predictable self-pay pricing, comprehensive assessment, between-session support, and multiple forms of psychological care.

Insurance-Based Care

We continue to accept participating insurance plans. If you have strong behavioral-health benefits and a low copay or coinsurance, using your insurance may be the most economical option.

Traditional Private Pay

Prefer not to use insurance or join DPC? Our traditional private-pay option allows you to pay for services as needed without a monthly membership. Tiered private-pay rates are available across different provider levels.
